Lyudmila Jurjewna Aksenenko ( Russian Людмила Юрьевна Аксененко ; née Astramowitsch ( Russian Астрамович ); born September 6, 1989 ) is a Russian natural track tobogganist . She has been competing in the World Cup since the 2008/2009 season , where she has been in the top ten ten times, and since 2006 she has participated in two World and three European Championships .
Career
Lyudmila Astramovich first took part in international competitions in 2006. With 17th place at the 2006 European Championships in Umhausen and the 2006 Junior World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, however, she only achieved placements among the last five. In the next two years she only started at the junior championships and was tenth at both the 2007 junior European championship in St. Sebastian and the 2008 junior world championship in Latsch .
Lyudmila Astramowitsch has been competing in the World Cup since the 2008/2009 season . In her first World Cup season she took part in four of the six races, achieved the best results two twelfth places in St. Sebastian and Deutschnofen and was 14th in the overall World Cup. In the next winter , she contested five World Cup races and achieved her best result of the season with seventh place in the second race in Nowouralsk . This was followed by three eleventh places and tenth place at the season finale in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which means she improved to eighth place in the overall World Cup and became second-best Russian. Astramowitsch finished seventh at the 2009 Junior European Championships in Longiarü , but she has not yet achieved top 10 placements in the General Class: she was 15th at the 2009 World Championships in Moos in Passeier and eleventh at the 2010 European Championships in St. Sebastian. At the EM 2010 she started in the team competition for the first time and together with Juri Talych , Pawel Silin and Iwan Rodin took eighth place out of ten teams as Team Russia II.
After her marriage, she started under her new name Aksenenko in the 2010/2011 season . At the beginning of winter, she achieved sixth place in each of the two races in Nowouralsk and thus her best World Cup results to date. In the other four races, she came twice in the top ten, which she finished sixth in the overall World Cup. At the 2011 World Championships in Umhausen , she was eleventh in the singles and together with Stanislaw Kowschik and Ilja Tarassow in Team Russia II seventh in the team competition. In the 2011/2012 season , Aksenenko drove, as in the previous year, in four of the six World Cup races under the top ten, with a sixth place in Novouralsk being her best result of the season. In the overall World Cup, she was again the second best Russian behind serial winner Yekaterina Lavrentjewa in seventh place. At the European Championships in 2012 in Novouralsk, she was eighth in the singles and together with Stanislaw Kowschik, Alexander Yegorow and Pyotr Popow sixth in the team competition.
