Bogdan Moroșan (* 1991 ) is a Romanian natural toboggan runner . He has been taking part in World Cup races as well as World and European Championships since the 2009/2010 season and has been three times Romanian champion .

Career

In his World Cup debut on January 10, 2010 in Umhausen , Bogdan Moroșan came last in 42nd place. He then took part in the 2010 European Championships in St. Sebastian , where he crossed the finish line, just under two and a half minutes behind, as the penultimate of the 37 participants came. At the next World Cup races in Latsch and Latzfons , he finished 36th and 35th, leaving up to five tobogganers behind, including the entire British team. In between was the Junior World Championship 2010 in Deutschnofen , where he finished 29th out of 31 starters. At the World Cup final in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Bogdan Moroșan came third from bottom in 28th place, with which he won a total of 25 World Cup points in the 2009/2010 season and achieved 47th place in the overall standings. In February 2010 he also took part in two races in the Intercontinental Cup, but also only achieved placements in the bottom field. At the first Romanian Championships in March 2010 he was second in the single-seater in the junior class behind Alexandru Vîlcan and third in the overall standings.

In the 2010/2011 season , Moroșan took part in all World Cup races, as in the previous year, with the exception of the two opening races in Novouralsk , Russia . With placings around 30th place he could only classify himself in the bottom field, but in the overall World Cup he improved by 19 places to 28th place. At the end of the season he started together with Cosmin Codin for the first time in a two-seater World Cup race. However, the duo only finished tenth and last place. At the 2011 World Championships in Umhausen , Moroșan came 34th out of 40 tobogganers. He achieved 24th place out of 29 rated tobogganists at the 2011 European Junior Championships in Lasa . Here he started together with Alexandru Vîlcan in a two-seater. The duo took sixth and penultimate place. At the Romanian Championships in 2011 Moroșan won the doubles competition with Marius Bălan , while he was second in the singles behind Adrian Filimon . In the junior class, he won the single-seater competition.

In the 2011/2012 season , Moroșan again took part in four of the six World Cup races in the single-seater. As in the previous year, he placed around 30th, placing him 34th in the overall World Cup. In the doubles, Moroșan started in the first race of the season with Adrian Filimon and in the second race of the season with Cosmin Codin. In the first race Moroşan / Filimon finished 13th and last place, in the second Moroşan / Codin did not compete in the second race after the last place in the first run. At the end of the season Moroşan was the first time Romanian champion in the single and with Marius Bălan for the second time champion in the doubles.
