Alongside Alexandru Vîlcan and Bogdan Moroșan, Cosmin Codin is a member of the young Romanian men's team, which has been in the World Cup since January 2010 . At his World Cup debut on January 10, 2010 in Umhausen , Codin crossed the finish line as 39th of 43 starters and was therefore the best of the three Romanians. In the rest of the winter, too, he mostly achieved the best results within his team. After his World Cup debut, he took part in the 2010 European Championship in St. Sebastian , where he was about twice as fast as his teammates with a gap of around one minute and 16 seconds and achieved 33rd place out of 37 rated participants. At the next World Cup races in Latsch and Latzfons , he finished 33th and 37th, leaving up to seven tobogganers behind, including the entire British team. In between was the 2010 Junior World Championship in Deutschnofen , where he finished 26th out of 31 starters. At the World Cup finals in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Cosmin Codin came fourth from last in 27th place, making him 43rd in the overall ranking of the 2009/2010 season, tied with the two Ukrainians Andrij Tolopko and Ihor Senjuk , and the best Romanian. In February 2010 he also took part in two races in the Intercontinental Cup, but only achieved placements in the bottom field. At the first Romanian championships in March 2010, he finished third in the single-seater in the junior class and fourth in the overall standings. In the team competition he won the championship title together with Maria Manuela Danci .

In the 2010/2011 season , Codin took part in all World Cup races, as in the previous year, with the exception of the two opening races in Novouralsk , Russia . With placements around 30th place he could only classify himself in the bottom field, but in the overall World Cup he improved by 14 places to 29th. At the end of the season he started together with Bogdan Moroșan for the first time in a two-seater World Cup race. However, the duo only finished tenth and last place. At the 2011 World Championships in Umhausen , Codin came in 33rd out of 40 rated tobogganers. At the European Junior Championships 2011 in Laas , which took place a week later , he finished 20th, leaving nine tobogganers behind. As in the previous year, he became Romanian champion in the team competition in 2011 together with Maria Manuela Danci . The next year he achieved third place in the singles and doubles at the 2012 Romanian Championships . However, he did not take part in international competitions in the 2011/2012 season.
