Natalia Waniczek (born June 13, 1991 ) is a former Polish natural track tobogganist . She started in the World Cup as well as the Junior World and European Championships in 2007 and also took part in the World and European Championships in the general class in 2009 and 2010 .

Career

After she had already contested a race in the Intercontinental Cup the year before, Natalia Waniczek made her debut in the World Cup on January 21, 2007 in Longiarü and achieved 16th place out of 20 starters. In her next two World Cup races at the end of the 2006/2007 season in Moos in Passeier , however, she only finished penultimate in each case, which meant she was only penultimate in 20th place in the overall World Cup. At the Junior European Championships 2007 in St. Sebastian she came 14th out of 19 women tobogganers. In December 2007 Waniczek came second behind Kinga Gawlas at the Polish Championships , which were held in Moos, Italy in Passeier. After this performance, it was used again in the World Cup race that took place two weeks later on the same track, where it was only last, after which it did not take part in any World Cup races until the end of the next winter, but started again in the Intercontinental Cup. At the Junior World Championships 2008 in Latsch she finished 13th. At the Polish Championships 2008 , which were also held in Latsch in December , Natalia Waniczek again came second, this time behind Klaudia Chowaniec of the same age . In February 2009 she achieved eighth place at the European Junior Championships in Longiarü and a week later she was also used at the 2009 World Championships in Moos in Passeier. There she came in the single-seater but only on the penultimate place, as well as in her run in the team competition, in which she participated together with Adam Jędrzejko , Andrzej Laszczak and Damian Waniczek . The Polish team finished sixth out of ten teams.

In the 2009/2010 season Natalia Waniczek contested two World Cup races again. With 16th place in Umhausen and 14th place in Latsch, this time she achieved placements in the lower midfield and in the overall World Cup as the best Polish woman, three points ahead of her compatriot Wioletta Ryś , 18th place. At the 2010 European Championships in St. Sebastian, where she was the only woman in her country as in the previous year at the World Cup, she achieved 13th place out of 17 starters. In the team competition, the Polish team, with the same composition as at the 2009 World Cup, came in sixth again. At the Junior World Championships 2010 in Nova Ponente Waniczek was eighth. At the Polish Championships in 2009 and 2010 she came third. After the 2009/2010 season, Waniczek did not take part in any competitions.
