Wioletta Ryś (born August 24, 1992 ) is a Polish natural track tobogganist . She is a three-time Polish champion and has competed in the World Cup since 2010 .

Career

Wioletta Ryś achieved her first major success on March 3, 2009 when she became Polish champion in her hometown of Szczyrk . She had already achieved third place in the national championships last year . In 2010 and 2011 she was again Polish Champion. After she had already taken part in races in the Intercontinental Cup, Ryś competed in her first World Cup races in January 2010 . With 17th place in Umhausen and 15th place in Latsch , she left four competitors behind in both races and finished 19th in the overall World Cup for the 2009/2010 season - tied with Russian Regina Gilwanowa . In the Junior World Cup 2010 in German oven Ryś went under 16's women started in tenth place.

In the 2010/2011 season Ryś competed in three world cup races. After she had no result in Gsies and only finished 15th and last in Unterammergau , she achieved 12th place out of 15 participants in Olang , which made her 17th in the overall World Cup. At the 2011 World Championships in Umhausen - her first title fight in the general class - she finished third in the single seater in 16th place and in the team competition together with Adam Jędrzejko , Andrzej Laszczak and Damian Waniczek in eighth place. At the junior European championship in the same year she achieved a position in the midfield with eighth place, at the junior world championship in 2012 she was 15th out of 19 rated luge women. In the World Cup she was once among the top 15 in the 2011/2012 season , making her 22nd in the overall ranking.
