Georgi Antschow ( Bulgarian Георги Анчов ) is a Bulgarian natural track luge . He has been competing in the World Cup as well as World and European Championships since the 2009/2010 season .

Career

Georgi Antschow competed in two world cup races in the 2009/2010 season . On his debut on January 10th, 2010 in Umhausen he achieved the 38th place out of 43 participants and in his second World Cup race in Latsch the 37th place out of 40 participants. He finished 55th in the overall World Cup, tied with Ukrainian Andrij Wertuk . Between these two World Cup races, he took part in the 2010 European Championship in St. Sebastian , where he crashed and was eliminated in the second of the three races. Two weeks later he also started at the Junior World Championship 2010 in Deutschnofen , where he only achieved 30th and last place in the single-seater. Together with Antoni Stoitschkow , he also took part in a doubles race for the first time at the Junior World Championships and achieved eighth and penultimate place.

At the 2011 World Cup in Umhausen at the end of January , Antschow finished 40th and last in the single-seater, more than a minute behind. A week later he took part in the European Junior Championships 2011 in Laas , but also came in 29th in the singles and seventh in the doubles with Yusuf Kasow twice in last place. His World Cup results were no better in the 2010/2011 season . At his only starts in Unterammergau , he achieved only last place in the single-seater as 32nd and in the doubles with Petar Sawow as tenth.

Also in the 2011/2012 season Antschow was mostly at the end of the ranking in the World Cup. As in the previous year, he only contested one race with Petar Sawow in the doubles, while in the single-seater he took part in four of the six World Cup races and thus improved to 37th place in the overall World Cup. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Latsch , he finished third from last, 25th place in the single-seater. Like the entire Bulgarian team, he did not take part in the last two World Cup races of the winter and the European Championship in 2012.
