On January 22, 2005, she achieved her best result in a World Cup race with fifth place in Latzfons . In the overall World Cup, she reached eighth place, as well as in the 2005/2006 season , in which she was four times among the top ten. In the title fights she did not achieve top 10 results in 2006: The Junior World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen she finished in eleventh place and the European Championship in Umhausen in 14th. At the 2007 World Championship in Grande Prairie and at the 2008 European Championship in Olang she came as Tenth or ninth again in the top 10.

After she achieved only two top 10 results in the 2006/2007 World Cup season and dropped back to eleventh place in the overall standings , Unterberger was among the top ten in all six races in the 2007/2008 season , making her seventh in the final ranking best placement in the overall World Cup. In the 2008/2009 World Cup season , she finished eighth in the overall World Cup for the third time after 2005 and 2006 with a total of five top 10 places. The 2017/2018 season started promisingly for the "Rodelfloh" with a second place at the World Cup opener in Kühtai , but had to be content with fourth and fifth place in the subsequent World Cup competitions in Latzfons , Moos, Mariazell and Deutscheofen . At the 2018 European Championship on the Winterleiten, Unterberger managed to move up from 8th to third place with a brilliant catch-up and grabbed her second bronze medal in the single-seater.
