Martin Wolke (* 1971 in Munich ) is a German sculptor .

Life

After attending the Odenwald School and doing community service, he studied sculpture with Jan Koblasa at the Muthesiushochschule in Kiel from 1993 to 1999 . In 2000 he received a work grant in Eckernförde as well as a teaching position at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel and another work grant in Lauenburg / Elbe . From 2003 he had a teaching position at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel , where he was head of the sculpture workshop from 2004 to 2006.

Art in public space

Wolke's works can be seen in public spaces. In 2000 he equipped the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium in Preetz with the work of art green school children travel , since 2001 the giant travelers have been standing in the wind on the station forecourt of Westerland on Sylt, in 2002 the swimming exercises were set up in the Kurpark of Eckernförde.
