Martina Goricanec (born September 19, 1993 in Feldkirch ) is a former Austrian handball player who was most recently under contract with the Swiss first division club LC Brühl Handball .

Career

Martina Goricanec, whose family comes from the Croatian town of Valpovo, began playing handball in her hometown at HC JCL BW Feldkirch. At the age of 14 she joined Hypo Niederösterreich . In 2013 she won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Hypo as well as several Austrian championships and ÖHB Cups . In the summer of 2016, the backcourt player moved to the Swiss first division club LC Brühl Handball . With Brühl she won the Swiss championship in 2017 and 2019 and the Swiss Cup in 2017. Goricanec ended her career after the 2018/19 season.

Goricanec won the bronze medal at the 2011 U-19 European Championship . Goricanec was part of the squad of the Austrian national team , for which they appeared 65 times.
