Martina Jöbstl

Martina Jöbstl (born February 24, 1992 in Zell am See ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). She has been a member of the Salzburg state parliament since 2013 .

education and profession

Jöbstl attended elementary school in Maishofen between 1998 and 2002 before moving to the Bundesrealgymnasium in Zell am See in 2002. After attending lower school, she left grammar school in 2006 to continue her education in the subject of mechatronics at the higher technical federal college in Saalfelden . As a result, she completed her Matura at the HTL in Saalfelden in 2011 and began studying law at the University of Salzburg in the same year , which she completed in 2018 as a Magistra.

Politics and functions

Jöbstl was already politically active in her school days and in 2008 took over the role of regional chairman of the Salzburg Schools Union . She held this position until 2012. Furthermore, between 2009 and 2010 she worked as the BMHS state school spokesperson for the State of Salzburg, from 2009 to 2010 she was the BMHS area spokesperson for the federal student council and from 2010 to 2011 BMHS state school spokesperson . In 2012 she was elected regional representative of the Young ÖVP Salzburg, which also made her a member of the regional executive committee of the Young People's Party in Salzburg. Finally, on November 7, 2014, she was elected regional chairwoman of the Young ÖVP.

Jöbstl ran for the ÖVP in the 2013 state elections in 10th place in the Zell am See district and 12th place on the state list of the People's Party. Despite the fact that the ÖVP only achieved 11 seats in the state elections, Jöbstl was able to move into the state parliament. She was sworn in on June 19, 2013 at the age of 21 as the youngest member of the state parliament and member of the ÖVP state parliament club. Jöbstl is the area spokesperson for youth and sport within the ÖVP state parliament club.
