Martina Reinhart

Martina Reinhart (* 1972 in Linz ) is an Austrian artist and former competitive athlete .

Live and act

As a teenager, Reinhart played basketball at OLV Wels , with whom she became national champion , as well as in the junior national team and in the basketball Bundesliga . She also passed her Matura at the sports high school in Wels. A professor for visual education in the real branch of the school also promoted her artistic talent. Then she went to Los Angeles and got a basketball scholarship at Santa Monica College , where she wanted to study painting. Due to a serious accident, she had to give up a basketball career. She was then active as a runner at ULC Linz and LCC Vienna.

From 1997 to 2002 she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and did her doctorate in philosophy at the University of Vienna in 2005 . In between stays in Los Angeles and Barcelona .

The artist deals with topics such as 'body', 'beauty' and 'knowledge'. Numerous exhibitions at home and abroad, private and public collections.
