Martina Rowold (born August 2, 1996 ) is a German natural track tobogganist . She has been competing in the World Cup since 2012 .

Career

Rowold, who drives for the Rottach-Egern toboggan club , took part in races in the Intercontinental Cup for the first time in the 2010/2011 season and in the same winter won the German Championships in her age group Junior I. At the European Junior Championships 2011 in Laas , however, she only came up twelfth place out of 15 rated female tobogganists. The next year she reached ninth place at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Latsch , with which she left more than half of the starting field behind and was the best German junior for the second time. In the 2011/2012 season , Rowold also took part in two World Cup races for the first time . She started at the opening race in Latzfons and at the World Cup finals in Umhausen , but only crossed the finish line last. In the overall World Cup, she came 23rd out of a total of 31 tobogganists who won World Cup points this winter.
