Martina Schwarz (born September 1, 1960 in Parchim , born Martina Schmidt ) is a former German volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Sports career hall
Martina Schwarz has been playing volleyball at SC Traktor Schwerin since 1974 , with which she was GDR champion seven times . With the GDR national team she won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 and was European champion in 1983 in her own country . After the reunification in the GDR , the setter played in the Bundesliga with VG Alstertal-Harksheide and from 1996 with 1. VC Norderstedt .
With her teammates, she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze in 1980 for winning the silver medal at the Olympic Games .
Sports career beach
Martina Schwarz played in the sand at the side of Beate Paetow from 1992 and became German champion in her first two years .
Private
Martina Schwarz's son Christoph is also a volleyball and beach volleyball player.
