Martina Tegtmeier (born April 20, 1958 in Hille ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Since 2006 she has been a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

Tegtmeier attended business school and then trained as a clerk in wholesale and foreign trade . She worked for five years as an employee in her training company, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, and was then self-employed. Since 1993 she has been a member of the social democratic community for local politics , and since the beginning of 2010 managing director of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania regional association.

Tegtmeier is non-denominational, widowed and has three children.

Tegtmeier has been a member of the SPD since 1994. From 1998 to 2008 she was a member of the federal board of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Sozialdemokratischer Frauen (ARSP), she is a member of the board of the SPD district association in Northwest Mecklenburg. From 1994 to 2004 she was the community representative of the Dragun community and from 1999 to 2004 and again from 2007 a member of the district council of Northwest Mecklenburg. From 1995 to 2009 Tegtmeier was head of the school association of the Brüsewitz school association. Since the state elections in 2006 , she has been a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament, into which she was able to move through a direct mandate in constituency 28 - Northwest Mecklenburg II . In the 5th electoral term from 2006 to 2011 she was deputy chairwoman of the Committee for Social Affairs and Health from November 2006 and chairwoman of the study commission "Strengthening local self-government" from January 2010. After her return to the state parliament in 2011, she is chair of the committee for work, equality, health and social affairs and deputy chair of the interior committee. She also works on the study commission "Getting older in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania". She is the spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for women's and gender equality policy, for integration policy as well as data protection and freedom of information. Since January 2014 she has also been deputy group leader. At the beginning of 2013 she was elected chairwoman of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania data protection advisory board.
