Martina Wildner

Martina Wildner (born September 11, 1968 in Obergünzburg , Allgäu ) is a German writer .

Life

After a few semesters of Islamic Studies in Erlangen and studying graphic design at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences , she has been working as a freelance author and painter since 1998 . She has received multiple awards, in 2003 she received the Peter Härtling Prize for her novel A Lot of Shooting Stars and in 2014 the German Youth Literature Prize for her children's book Queen of the Jump Tower .

In 2014 she was a member of the jury for the award The Extraordinary Book of the children and youth program of the Berlin International Literature Festival .

She lives with her family in Berlin .
