Martine Welfler (born October 27, 1991 ) is a Norwegian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Norwegian national beach handball team.

Career

Martine Welfler made her debut in the Norwegian top division for Gjerpen IF at the age of 18 . In the 2009/10 season, the cyclist scored 19 goals in 15 games. After Welfler relegated to the 1st division with Gjerpen in 2010, she scored 55 goals in 26 games in the following season. Then Welfler ran for three years for the second division side Bækkelagets SK , before joining Njård IF in 2014. In 2016, the elite teams of Njård IF and Ullern IF merged to form Aker Topphåndball , for which she played from then on. In the 2017/18 season, she went on the hunt for goals for the first division club Oppsal IF . After Welfer played for Bækkelagets SK in the fourth-highest division in the following season, she returned to Oppsal IF in August 2019.

Welfler took part in the World Games 2013 with the Norwegian national beach handball team and won the bronze medal there. She won two more bronze medals at the Beach Handball World Championships in 2014 and 2016. In 2017 she won the gold medal at the European Beach Handball Championship . In the same year she took part in the World Games again. A year later Welfler was in the final of the Beach Handball World Cup, which Norway lost to Greece in a shootout. She also took sixth place at Beachhandball Euro 2019 .
