Marvano
Marvano (actually Mark van Oppen , born April 29, 1953 in Zolder , Belgium ) is a Belgian cartoonist and author .
Life
Marvano was born in Zolder in 1953 . He first studied interior design , but then decided to work as an illustrator and cartoonist . Possibly his best known work is the adaptation of Joe Haldeman's The Eternal War . Marvano and Haldeman later worked together on a comic book adaptation of the novel Buying time , called Dallas Barr .
Marvano then created three comic triologies with a historical background, first Berlin ( Berlin during and after World War II ), then Grand Prix (about racing drivers in the 1930s ) and The Jewish Brigade .
