Marvel's Avengers is an action game under development by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal for Windows , PlayStation 4 and Xbox One , the release of which has been announced by Square Enix for May 2020 but has been postponed until September. It is based on the comics and their film adaptations around the superhero The Avengers from Marvel Comics .

Several superheroes and opponents from the Marvel universe appear in Marvel's Avengers . On the side of the heroes, Captain America , Iron Man , Hulk , Black Widow , Thor and Dr. Hank Pym in front. The antagonists include a. Abomination or Emil Blonsky and Taskmaster .

The story of the game starts at the A-Day on which the Avengers a high-tech headquarters in San Francisco reveal - including their own (flying) Heli-Carrier , who from a Terrigen - crystal is driven. Most of the city is destroyed in a catastrophic accident. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, after all superheroes have been banned and banned, the world is in danger.
