Marvin Orlando Angarita Reyes (born April 11, 1989 in Barrancabermeja ) is a Colombian cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2010 Angarita won both stages and the overall classification of the Clásica de Barrancabermeja as well as part of the Clásico RCN . From 2011 to 2014 he had a contract with the Movistar Continental Team . In the first year he had his first success on the second stage of the Vuelta a Venezuela on the UCI America Tour . In the course of the tour he achieved three more stage successes, including victory on the final part of the race. In the same year he became national U23 champion. The following year he won two stages of the Vuelta Mundo Maya .

After a few years in which Angarita could not achieve success on the road, he turned increasingly to track cycling. In 2018 he won silver in the points race and bronze in the team pursuit at the Central America and Caribbean Games . At the Pan American Championships in 2018, he finished second in the team pursuit with Brayan Sánchez , Carlos Andrés Tobón and Juan Esteban Arango and was also Colombian champion in this discipline in 2018 and 2019.
