Marvin Heckel (born May 10, 1997 in Krefeld ) is a German basketball player .

career

Heckel played in the youth team of SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen and later in the men's team as well as in the youth team of Bayer Leverkusen . In Leverkusen, he received his first minutes of play in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA during the 2015/16 season .

In the 2016/17 season he played two short appearances in the basketball Bundesliga for s.Oliver Würzburg , while thanks to a "double license" he also strengthened the TG s.Oliver Wuerzburg in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .

He returned to Leverkusen in the summer of 2017 and played 25 games in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB during the year, averaging 11.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds per match. For the 2017/18 season, Heckel moved to FC Baunach , the youth development team of Bundesliga club Brose Bamberg , in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. He also received a gaming license for the Bamberg Bundesliga team. In the 2018/19 season, Heckel scored an average of 7.1 points per game for Baunach in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA, but missed staying in class with the team.

In summer 2020 he moved to the second division Eisbären Bremerhaven .
