Walter Leupold

Walter Leupold (born July 26, 1913 in Gefrees ; † unknown) was a German politician ( NPD ).

Walter Leupold was born as the son of Christof Leupold and his wife Hedwig Leupold. Wisdom born. He attended secondary school in Bayreuth from 1924 to 1930 . Then he completed a manual and commercial apprenticeship in his parents' company, which was relocated to Bayreuth in 1932. In the spring of 1939 Leupold was drafted into the Wehrmacht and used in the Western campaign and on the Eastern Front during World War II . In 1941 he was sent to the Wünsdorf armored troop school for an officer trainee course . For Lieutenant transported he took on in the war. At the end of the war he was a first lieutenant and company commander in a tank destroyer division. He spent a total of seven and a half years as a soldier, in a hospital and in captivity .

In 1948 he took over his family's business ( knife and weapon smiths ). From 1960 he was a juror at the district court of Bayreuth and in 1966 the city council in Bayreuth.

Leupold was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from December 2, 1966 to December 2, 1970 . He was elected in the constituency of Upper Franconia and was a member of the Committee for Social and Health Policy until January 18, 1967, and a member of the Committee for Economics and Transport from January 18, 1967.
