Marwan Kenzari (born January 16, 1983 in The Hague ) is a Tunisian - Dutch actor .

Career

Kenzari began acting as a teenager. From 2008 he played in several Dutch film and television productions. In 2013 he was awarded the golden calf in the category of best leading actor for the leading role in the film Wolf . He also played supporting roles in international films such as Ben Hur , The Mummy and Murder on the Orient Express . In August 2017 it was announced that Kenzari would play the role of the antagonist Jafar in the real remake of Disney's Aladdin . Marwan Kenzari speaks Arabic , Dutch , English and French .
