Mary Dann (born January 1, 1923 in Eureka County , Nevada , † April 22, 2005 in Crescent Valley , Nevada) was an American environmental activist of Native American descent .
Mary Dann was a Shoshone Indian and rancher. She stood up for the rights of her people, for environmental protection and against the atomic bomb tests in Nevada ( Nevada Test Site , NTS). Together with her sister Carrie , she received the Right Livelihood Award in 1993 .
She died in an accident near her ranch in 2005.
