Mary Tombiri

Mary Tombiri (born July 23, 1972 ) is a former Nigerian sprinter .

In 1990 she won over 100 m bronze at the African Championships in Cairo .

In 1994 she was seventh over 100 m at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria . In the 4 x 100 meter relay , the Nigerian quartet triumphed with the cast of Faith Idehen , Christy Opara-Thompson and Mary Onyali . This relay also took part in the World Cup in Athletics in London for Africa and won there too.

In 1995 she was eliminated over 100 m at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg and won bronze at the Pan-African Games in Harare. At the 1996 Olympic Games she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and came in fifth place with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay.
