Maryam Keshavarz
Maryam Keshavarz (born June 9, 1975 , New York City , New York State , USA ) is an Iranian -US film producer , film director and screenwriter .
Life
Keshavarz earned a bachelor's degree in comparative literature from Northwestern University and an MA from the University of Michigan in Middle Eastern Studies. Before she turned to filming, she worked for some time as a researcher in the literature and linguistics department at the University of Shiraz in Iran.
At the New York University belonging Tisch School of the Arts Keshavarz received the degree Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in the directing department. Since 2003 she has been successful with several films, each of which she was producer, director and screenwriter.
Keshavarz is bisexual .
