The Maryland River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .
geography
The river has its source four kilometers north of the settlement of Maryland in the McPherson Range and about 15 kilometers northeast of Stanthorpe ( Queensland ). It initially flows northeast along the mountains. At Cullendore it turns its course to the southeast, where it forms the Clarence River northwest of Rivertree together with the Boonoo Boonoo River .
In its upper reaches it passes the Maryland National Park , which is also in the McPherson Range.
