Maryna Doroshenko

Maryna Doroshenko , née Chabarowa ( Ukrainian Марина Дорошенко , née бабарова ; born March 22, 1981 in Marhanez ; † September 7, 2014 ) was a Ukrainian basketball player , seven-time Ukrainian champion, two-time Ukraine Cup winner as part of the team BC “ Kosach ”. She took part in European club competitions (2004/05 at the Euroleague Women , otherwise at the Ronchetti Cup and the EuroCup Women ) and, as part of the Ukrainian national team , at the European Championship 2003 as well as other qualifying and final matches.

In 2013 Doroshenko was diagnosed with acute leukemia . In early January 2014 the disease took a malignant course. Without any means of her own to fight the disease, Doroshenko went public with a request to help finance her treatment.
