Maryslim is a Swedish alternative rock band that formed in Stockholm in 1999 .

history

Maryslim was formed in 1999 when the band members met at a rock concert. Although Mats Olsson and Kent Axén had already written some songs together, they lacked a bass player and drummer.

The band became known through various live performances in Sweden and in 2001 they got their first record deal with White Jazz Records. The first single Nothing in Common and the album Maryslim were released.

In 2002 Maryslim switched to Wild Kingdom Records and played the live album Live 'n' Loaded . With the song High 'n' Loaded they got support from Peder Carlsson. The albums Split Vision and A Perfect Mess followed. On the latter, Maryslim covered The Sisters of Mercy title This Corrosion and brought in Jyrki 69 from The 69 Eyes for vocal support.

In March 2008 the band announced that bass player Urrke T would leave the band. Peter Henriksson stepped in for the last outstanding appearances. Since then there have been no announcements of new albums or tour dates.
