Masako Mori (singer)
Masako Mori ( Jap. 森昌子 * 13. October 1958 as Masako Morita in Utsunomiya ) is a Japanese Enka - singer and actress .
biography
Together with her classmates Momoe Yamaguchi and Junko Sakurado , she founded the trio 花 の 中 三 ト リ オ (roughly trio of flowers ) from 1973 , which existed until 1977. Through the show Producing the Stars (Star Tanjō) , the musicians became known as The Trio of Third-Year Junior High School Students (Hana no Chu 3 Trio) .
Mori published the song Sensei (Teacher) in 1972 at the age of 13 and has received numerous music awards. In the Oricon charts , the song reached third place. This was followed by other hits such as Dōkyūsei (classmates), Chugaku Sannensei (3rd grade of junior high school), Okaasan (mother) and Ettou Tsubame (The Winter Tern ).
At the 25th Japan Record Awards she was awarded the song Ettou Tsubame for best singer. In 1986 she married Shinichi Mori and ended her career as a singer for the time being. In 2006 she returned to the stage with the song Iro no Mirai (Rosy Future). This placed in the Oricon charts at the 14th position.
In addition to her work as a singer, Mori also worked as an actress in Japanese films and television dramas. Mori has appeared in 15 productions under Uta Gassen.
In March 2019, Mori announced her retirement from show business .
Private life
Mori was married to Shinichi Mori and has three sons with him, two of whom work in the music business. As a rock singer, Takahiro Moriuchi is on the stage for One Ok Rock and Hiroki Moriuchi for My First Story .
