Masallı (also Masalli, as well as Massally, Masally from Russian Масаллы ) is a city in Azerbaijan and the administrative seat of the Masallı district . In 2014 the city had about 25,000 inhabitants.
The city's economy is characterized by agriculture, and there are also some industrial companies. In the center, near the river, there is a Soviet-era palace of culture , in front of which there is a statue of the poet Nezāmi . The football club FK Masallı is based in the city .
Masallı is on the M3 highway that connects Baku with Lənkəran and the Iranian border.
The former village received urban-type settlement status on August 23, 1950 and town charter on January 20, 1960.
