Masanori Inoue started for the Urayasu high school at Tōkai University , and in the meantime also for Juntendō University and the sporting goods manufacturer Mizuno . He was initially a bobsleigh driver. In this sport he celebrated his greatest successes as a participant in the Winter Olympics . In 1998 in Nagano , he drove with Hiroshi Suzuki in the two-man bobsleigh to 19th place and in the four-man bobsleigh with Naomi Takewaki , Hiroaki Ōishi and Takashi Ōhori to 15th place. Also in 2002 in Salt Lake City he competed in both bobsleigh classes. In the small sled he rode again with Hiroshi Suzuki and came in 21. In the four-man bobsleigh, Inoue finished 20 with Suzuki, Shinji Miura and Shinji Doigawa .

Inoue started skeleton in 2002 and has been a member of the Japanese national team since 2003. In December 2003 he contested his first race in Calgary as part of the Skeleton America's Cup , in which he was 28th. It should remain his second worst result in the racing series, in which he drove exclusively internationally until 2005. In January 2005 the Japanese achieved his first top ten result in Lake Placid in tenth place. In November he was able to achieve his best results in the racing series with two sixth places in the same place. In early 2006 he took part in two races in the Skeleton European Cup. He finished the first race in St. Moritz in January 13th. The following race in Winterberg was Inoue's biggest international success with second place. For the 2006/07 season , the Japanese initially returned to the America's Cup and achieved several good results. Then he was able to start in Park City in December in the Skeleton World Cup for the first time and was 27. The following race in Lake Placid, in which Inoue was able to improve by one place, was also the last international race of the Japanese.
