The building was built in 1904 according to plans by Martin Keppeler on behalf of the Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft Heilbronn , founded in 1854 . The company was also known for its locomotive design. The former crane hall, in which the assembly and boiler shop were located, copies the Gothic sacred architecture and is built like a brick Gothic church . The floor plan of the crane hall was that of a three-aisled basilica . Above the large segmental arched windows there are upper aisles with triforated windows. On the gable side there are arches that are faded in .
