Masked Intruder is an American melodycore band from Madison , Wisconsin . She is a gimmick band and performs with ski masks . She is currently signed to Fat Wreck Chords .
Band history
Masked Intruder was founded in 2011. According to the fictional band biography, the members met in prison. The band members wear different colored ski masks and matching chucks and play stringed instruments in the matching colors. Rumor has it that the members are musicians from other bands. The record company Fat Wreck Chords gives a reference to Chixdiggit on its website , although these are not from the United States, but from Canada. Also on their tours is Officer Bradford, a man disguised as a police officer who entertains and celebrates with the people during the concert.
A first demo was recorded in 2011 . In 2012 the band released their self-titled debut album through Red Scare Industries . The music impressed Fat Mike , who signed the band and re-released their debut album in 2013. The second album MI was released in 2014. It was produced by Matt Allison (including Alkaline Trio and The Lawrence Arms ).
Music genre
Masked Intruder play poppy Melodycore with mostly humorous and romantic lyrics, which are often based on the fictional band biography as a burglar gang. Musically, the band is reminiscent of Teenage Bottlerocket , The Queers and Descendents .
