As a junior world champion, he was eligible to compete in the World Cup finals ; in the Super-G he finished 18th, but won no World Cup points. In the following years Iezza tried in vain to catch up with the world's best. In the European Cup , a 15th place in February 1996 was his best result. He turned to ski cross and competed in his last alpine ski race in April 2003.
Iezza had his debut in the Freestyle World Cup on November 30, 2002. In the first ski cross World Cup race in history, he was disqualified. He won his first World Cup points on January 18, 2003 with 8th place in Laax . On February 21, 2004, he achieved the first World Cup podium finish with second place in Naeba . The second (and last) followed on January 14, 2006 in Les Contamines , where he also came second. As a result, Iezza struggled to assert himself at the top of the world, top 10 results remained rare. Finally, he resigned from top-class sport in March 2010.
