The Mastaba Z500 is a tomb located in Saujet el-Arjan , which is of particular interest to Egyptology because of the important artifacts with the name of King Chaba that have been recovered there . It is not known who was actually buried in this mastaba. Aidan Dodson and Mark Lehner think it possible that it was the tomb of King Chaba.

The Mastaba Z500 has a north-south orientation and pointed when they were discovered remains of a niche - decorations on as for kings and high officials in the 3rd Dynasty was typical. The tomb is about 200 m north of the Chaba pyramid . Nabil Swelim sees the remains of an unfinished mortuary temple in the Mastaba Z500 , as the Mastaba does not contain any shafts or galleries, but only two large chambers with no typical grave elements. A little further to the east there are ruins, which the locals call El Gamal El Barek ("back of camels"). According to Swelim, both structures are part of the unfinished pyramid complex of the Chaba pyramid.
