Matías Appelt , full name Guillermo Matías Appelt Martínez , (born April 13, 1989 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.69 meter tall midfielder Appelt was under contract with Club Atlético Progreso at least in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons . In 2011/12 he contributed to the promotion at the end of the season at the then second division club from Montevideo with four goals in the league. In the subsequent first division season he completed 24 games in the Primera División and scored one goal. At the end of July 2013, he moved to the first division promoted Miramar Misiones . There he scored three goals in 22 first division appearances in the 2013/14 season. In early September 2014 he joined the amateur club Uruguay Montevideo FC . In mid-January 2015, he returned to professional football. Since then he has played for the second division club Sportivo Cerrito , for which he was used in six games (no goal) of the Segunda División in the 2014/15 season . At the beginning of September 2015 he moved to the second division competitor Canadian Soccer Club . So far (as of August 11, 2017) he played in seven league games (no goal) and was last used on December 5, 2015 in the second-highest Uruguayan division.
