The Matchless Mountain (English for Unique Mountain ) is a 1140 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range it rises at the confluence of the Atka Glacier with the southern flank of the Fry Glacier .
The New Zealand geologist Christopher J. Burgess, who led the 1976-1977 campaign for Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions , named it for what he believed to be a unique view from the top of the mountain.
