Mate Galic

Mate Galić (* 1974 in Split , Yugoslavia ), also known under the stage name Bion or Notzucht , is a DJ and TV presenter .

Life

Galić was born in 1974 in the Yugoslav Republic of Croatia and spent the first years of his life there. He later moved to Cologne with his family . In 1988 he interviewed DJ Kid Paul for a radio show on WDR1 and subsequently worked as a techno DJ. Soon he becomes the second resident DJ at Roland Caspers Space Club . Later he also performed regularly in the Cologne warehouse . Together with Sebastian Neuhaus, he founded the techno label Spacemate Recordings in 1991 .

At the same time he wrote for the magazine Network Press and gave the fanzines BAD and Stomp! Together with friends . out. From 1994 to 1995 he presented the program Housefrau for the music broadcaster VIVA and until 1997 the program Viva Trance .

Galić started working as Chief Technical Officer for the music software company Native Instruments in 2009 , where he previously worked as a product designer and press officer . He volunteers in the Herzenslust gay team as an ambassador for AIDS prevention work in youth culture.
