Matheus Gonçalves Sávio , or simply Matheus Sávio (born April 15, 1997 in Ribeirão Preto ), is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Matheus Sávio learned to play football in the youth teams of the Brazilian clubs Desportivo Brasil in Porto Feliz and Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in Rio de Janeiro . At Flamengo, he also signed his first professional contract in 2017. In 2017 he won the State Championship of Rio de Janeiro with Flamengo . At the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A , he finished second with Flamengo. From January 2018 to June 2018 he was loaned to GD Estoril Praia in Portugal . The club from Estoril played in the second division, the Segunda League . From January 2019 to June 2019 he also played on loan at CS Alagoano in Maceió . With Alagoano he won the State Championship of Alagoas . In July 2019 he was loaned to the Japanese second division club Kashiwa Reysol from Kashiwa . With Kashiwa he was champion of the J2 League and rose to the first division. After the loan ended, he was signed by Kashiwa in early 2020.
