Mathias Feist
Mathias Feist (* 1961 ) is a German programmer specializing in computer chess .
Life
Together with Matthias Wüllenweber he was responsible for the user interface of the computer chess program Fritz 6 , while the chess engine comes from Frans Morsch . In the late 1980s ported it the chess - database program ChessBase , the Wüllenweber originally using an Atari home computer was implemented, from Atari to DOS .
In addition, he led the team that developed Deep Fritz , the multiprocessor version of Fritz . As a result, he himself also became an expert in chess engines and their connection to the graphical user interface (GUI) of Fritz and ChessBase.
He plays chess himself at MTV Tostedt and achieved his highest DWZ ( German rating ) in 1998 with 2058 points.
