Mathias Leyendecker

Mathias Leyendecker (* 1821 in Dernau an der Ahr ; † 1871 near Bonn ?) Was a German painter .

Life

Mathias Leyendecker, a brother of Johann Josef Leyendecker , was from 1837 at the latest as a student at the École des Beaux-Arts and in the studios of Michel-Martin Drolling and Franz Xaver Winterhalter in Paris . In the years 1843-1848 and 1861-1870 he took part regularly in the Paris Salon . In the 1860s he worked as a copyist for the French government.
