Career

Witter made his international debut at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1995 on Dundretkullen in Gällivare . Together with Michael Schreiber , Michael Uhrmann and Alexander Herr he won the title and thus gold in the team competition.

After this success, Witter got a starting place in the squad for the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 1995 . However, he was not able to make the leap to the top of the world. In the end, Witter reached rank 55 with a total of 211 points. With this result Witter got a starting place in the German B-team in the context of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . In his first season he reached rank 118 in the overall standings. In the following season he reached rank 31 with 298 points and thus his best season result of his career. In spite of this, he did not make the jump into the A-squad for the ski jumping World Cup . In the following three years he was unable to build on this performance and ended his active career after the 1999/2000 season .
