Mathias von Zellthal

Mathias Barion von Zellthal , Erbländ.-Austrian. Nobility , (born October 2, 1785 in Antwerp , † October 4, 1871 in Graz ) was an Imperial and Royal Major General as well as commander and director of the Austrian rocket company and knight of the Austrian Imperial Leopold Order as well as holder of the first class badge in Graz.

Life

Emerging from the Bombardier Corps, he made a contribution to the development of the Austrian missile facility. He wrote artillery textbooks, constructed a new gun screwing machine and fought in 20 battles and skirmishes. As a result, Colonel Mathias Barion von Zellthal, commander of the rocket facility, was promoted to major general and director of this facility in 1854.

Barion von Zellthal was married to Karoline Tittinger, born on June 18, 1795 , died in 1864 . He retired on May 6, 1859 . Barion von Zellthal was buried in the St. Peter cemetery.
