Mathieu Bodmer (born November 22, 1982 in Évreux ) is a French football player who is under contract with SC Amiens .

Career

The midfielder comes from the youth of ALM Évreux in his hometown. He signed his first professional contract at the beginning of the 1997/98 season at the age of 14. In Évreux he stayed only this one season in which he did not use it.

In 1998 he moved to SM Caen . While he has not played a game in the first team in his first two seasons in Caen, he played in 24 games in the 2000/01 season. By 2003, the central midfielder played 79 times for Caen and scored four goals.

At the beginning of the 2003/04 season, Bodmer moved to Ligue 1 for Lille OSC , where he played 33 games in his first season and has been a regular since then.

For the 2007/08 season, Bodmer moved to Olympique Lyon for eight million euros . He made his debut on matchday two against Toulouse FC . He scored his first goal on August 29, 2007 against FC Sochaux , the goal leading to a 2-1 victory.

The former Olympique Lyon midfielder has been under contract with league rivals Paris Saint-Germain since 2010 . He signed a contract with the Parisians until 2013.

In January 2013, Bodmer moved to AS Saint-Étienne on loan shortly before the transfer window closed until the end of the season .
