Mats Wahlstrom
Mats Wahlstrom (also Wahlström or Wahlstroem ; born November 18, 1963 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish entrepreneur and founder of the Puro Group, Purobeach and Purohotel.
Career
Mats Wahlstrom attended high schools in Stockholm and Albuquerque . From 1983 to 1987 he studied at the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Economics. He then worked in international sales at Itochu & Co. Ltd.'s headquarters. active. In 1990 he founded Mercantile Spareparts Ltd. in Zug, Switzerland, which sells steel rims for the global automotive accessories market. In the late 1990s, he built Wahlstrom Fastigheter AB, which acquired office and department stores in and around Stockholm.
Mats Wahlstrom opened the first Puro Lifestyle Hotel in Palma in 2004 - thereby laying the foundation for successful development. The attached Opio Bar & Restaurant is not only an institution in Palma, it also enjoys cult status in Europe. The rise of the Puro Group to an internationally known lifestyle brand was marked by the opening of the Purobeach Club in 2005. A casual pool atmosphere combined with stylish design and selected music set standards as well as Balinese sun beds, the private Puro spa, the Puro shop and the associated shop Restaurant.
Purobeach founded other clubs in Marbella (2005) and in Vilamoura, Portugal (2009). New branches opened in Montenegro in 2011 and on the Black Sea the following year.
Purobeach Toscana started as a joint venture with Fernando Feragamo's Marina di Scarlino in 2013. Purobeach Dubai is located in the five-star Conrad hotel of the Hilton Group. The youngest branch has been based in the United Arab Emirates since 2015 . In 2009 Mats Wahlstrom launched Purobeach Music together with Seamless Recordings. In addition, he works in magazines and on book projects in Scandinavia and Europe. There are also development and business projects in South America, Africa and Europe.
Private
Mats Wahlstrom lives in Verbier , Switzerland, and has other residences in Palma , Stockholm and Costa Rica . His son Agaton Ted Jensen was born in 2000. From 2008 to 2016, Mats Wahlstrom was in a relationship with the German actress Ursula Karven .
Future projects
After years of traveling and experience as a lifestyle hotelier, Mats Wahlstrom plans to develop the new lifestyle brand Spirit of the Nomad. He will also continue to work in the areas of lifestyle products, real estate and hotel projects.
