Matteo Paro (born March 17, 1983 in Asti ) is an Italian football player .

He plays in the central midfield and is often compared to Andrea Pirlo , mainly because of his excellent technique .

Career

Matteo Paro began his career in the youth teams of Juventus Turin and made his debut on May 17, 2003 in the Serie A game against Reggina Calcio in the professional team.

In order to gain experience, he subsequently played for Chievo Verona , FC Crotone and AC Siena . For the 2006/07 season he returned to Juventus Turin and played an important role in the central midfield of the club, which was forcibly transferred to Serie B due to the manipulation scandal in 2005/06 , but managed direct resurgence.

Matteo Paro went down in Juventus history with his goal on September 9, 2006 against Rimini Calcio , as this was the very first Serie B goal in the club's over 100-year history.

For the 2007/08 season he moved to CFC Genoa , which bought 50% of his transfer rights. Paro completed 20 games for the Grifoni and was finally signed by Genoa for the new season . In the 2008/09 season Matteo Paro could not complete a single game due to injury.

In the summer of 2009, the midfielder moved on loan to Serie A promoted AS Bari , for whom he played in the 2009/10 season. Matteo Paro was awarded to the Serie B club Piacenza Calcio on January 29, 2010 until the end of the season.
