Matthaeus Lugscheider

Matthaeus Lugscheider (born September 8, 1824 in Maria Thal , municipality of Kramsach in Tyrol; † December 25, 1897 in Lohkirchen near Ampfing) was a clergyman and member of the Reichstag .

Live and act

Lugscheider was a cooperator and later a clergyman in Kohlgrub , then he lived for 40 years as a clergyman and canon in Lohkirchen. He was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies from 1870 to 1876 and a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Upper Bavaria 5 ( Wasserburg ) for the German Center Party from 1871 to 1874.

Lugscheider died of a stroke in 1897 and bequeathed his fortune to the seminary in Freising .
