Matthew Karwalski (born December 3, 1985 in Wagga Wagga ) is a former Australian squash player .

Career

Matthew Karwalski started his professional career in 2007 and won four tournaments on the PSA World Tour . He reached his highest place in the world rankings with rank 49 in December 2013. At the individual world championship he moved into the second round for the first time in 2013 after successful qualification and a first round win over Mohammed Ali Anwar Reda . With the Australian national team he took part in the 2013 World Cup. In the run-up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games , he caused a controversy when he fought for his participation in court and Zac Alexander , who had already arrived , had to leave the team.
