Matthew Newman
Matthew Newman is a British film editor .
Life
Newman found editing through taking part in the filming of the film Gangs of New York (2002) . Accompanied by Thelma Schoonmaker, he deepened his knowledge and has been an independent editor since 2006. So he was this year u. a. involved in the film Loud lovely old ladies . The director Nicolas Winding Refn became aware of him and a collaboration that continues to this day developed. Bronson from 2008 was their first joint film production.
For his work on Drive , he was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award in the category Best Editing in 2012 . He received the same nomination for the Online Film Critics Society Awards and the British Academy Film Awards .
