Matthias Albrecht (born August 9, 1988 ) is a German biathlete who is particularly successful in cross-country summer biathlon .

Matthias Albrecht starts for WSV Oberhof 05 . In 2009 he took part in a junior world championship in summer biathlon for the first time and was 25th in the sprint and 23rd in the pursuit at the competitions in Oberhof . Just a few weeks earlier, he won the relay title for Thuringia with Paul Böttner and Robert Janikulla at the 2009 German Championships in Zinnwald . In addition to the cross-country competitions, he also runs roller-ski biathlon and, for example, competed in the German Biathlon Championships in 2008 , where he was 45th in the individual, 44th in the sprint, 43rd in the pursuit, 41st in the mass start and with Marian Quandt and Markus Hunters in the relay competition with the Thuringia V 15 relay .
